Morphine is the main ingredient found in opium and a narcotic analgesic. Its ability to lessen pain and to induce a sense of euphoria is well documented. This is a highly addictive drug because it affects the brain rewards system, and slowly a user begins to crave for this drug more and more and ends up centering his/her whole life in obtaining and using this drug.

Morphine is known in the streets as Emsel, Dreamer, First Line, God’s Drug, Hows, Unkie, Morpho, Morf, Mister Blue, Miss Emma, M.S., etc.

Morphine withdrawal symptoms noticed in users are depression, anxiety, body pain, etc. An overdose of morphine could lead to spasms, muscle flaccidity, fluid accumulation in the lungs, clammy skin, lowering of blood pressure, stupor, drowsiness,  palpitations, constipation, vomiting, breathing irregularities, weak pulse, coma and even death.

Some of the morphine side effects are severe depression, involuntary movements of the muscles and eyeball, improper vision, anxiety, dizziness, diarrhea, rashes, cramps, abdominal pain, urinary problems, tremors, excessive perspiration, hallucinations, headaches, weird thinking and behavior, weakness, memory loss, etc.
