Meth

Meth attacks the brain directly, and the effects of the drug can last anywhere between 2 and 16 hours. Meth is highly toxic and addictive, and is known by different street names such as “Speed”, “Crystal”, “Crank”, etc. Meth can be used by injecting or by smoking.

The effects of meth vary depending on the quantity used. At small doses, meth can reduce hunger and increase alertness; at higher doses, it can cause euphoria, and at very high doses, it can cause paranoia and violent behavior. Meth withdrawal symptoms are disturbed but long sleep, depression, irritability, weakness, hunger, psychotic reactions and anxiety.

The side effects associated with meth are blood pressure increase, suicidal tendencies, visual and auditory hallucinations, aggression, delusions, paranoia, sluggishness, cardiac arrhythmia, weight loss, anorexia, stroke, etc.
